Sonnek nets third shutout, Auggies top Blugolds 1-0

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- Rebecca Sonnek (JR, Edina, Minn.) stopped all 28 shots she faced in goal to earn her third shutout of the season, lifting the Augsburg College women's hockey team to a 1-0 victory at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sonnek recorded 28 saves to pick up her fourth career shutout, improving to 6-3-0 on the season. Her 0.69 goals-against-average and .970 save percentage are both tops among MIAC teams in overall statistics. Both are also tops among NCAA Division III teams nationally.
• Bridget Wagner (FY, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) scored the lone goal of the game at the 3:16 mark of the second period, assisted by Danielle Heitkamp (SR, Bismarck, N.D./Grand Rapids (Minn.) HS). 
• Megan Johnson (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) had five shots on-goal for Augsburg, while Darby Lindgren (SR, Lakeville, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) had four shots and Hollywood Hermanson (FY, Dover, Minn./Dover-Eyota HS) had three shots.

• Augsburg has held its opponents to just 10 goals in its 12 games this season -- a 0.83 team goals-against-average that is best among MIAC teams in overall statistics and tied for second-best among NCAA Division III teams nationally.
