MINNEAPOLIS --
Morgan Malley (JR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) led the Augsburg University women's volleyball team to a crucial four-set victory over the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies started the match playing well, hitting .222 and .324 respectively in the first two sets en route to 25-22 and 25-19 wins. The third set belonged to the Blazers, as the Auggies couldn't get into sync and suffered a 25-13 setback. In the final set, Augsburg regained its momentum, hitting .217, while holding the St. Benedict attack to .065, claiming the decisive fourth-set win.
• Malley dished out a game-high 41 assists, her 12th match this season with 40-plus assists, while adding nine kills, eight digs and two service aces.
• Offensively,
Jordan Weeding (SR, Greenfield, Minn./Rockford HS) and
Corrina Evans (FY, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) paced Augsburg with 13 and 12 kills respectively. Weeding added five digs and three blocks (one solo), while Evans added a pair of blocks and digs.

Taylor Linn (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) and
Ellie Schwartz (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Hill Murray HS) added nine and seven kills respectively. Linn also paced Augsburg on the defensive side of the ball, finishing with a team-high 17 digs.
• Also finishing with double-digit digs for Augsburg was
Macey Terhell (JR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) and Stephanie Heschel (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS), who finished with 16 and 11 digs respectively.
FOR THE FOES
• Haley LaValle picked up an impressive 27 digs to lead St. Benedict.
• Offensively, Hunter Weiss posted a team-high 11 kills, while Megan Pekarek recorded 36 assists and six kills.
