MINNEAPOLIS -- Surrendering the ball five times on turnovers, two of which led to St. Olaf College scores, the Augsburg University football team dropped a 22-20 Homecoming decision to the Oles in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: St. Olaf 22, Augsburg 20
LOCATION: Edor Nelson Field, Minneapolis
RECORDS: Augsburg 3-4 overall (1-4 MIAC), St. Olaf 3-3 overall (2-2 MIAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED

A fumble in the first quarter led to St. Olaf's first touchdown, and a fumble in the third quarter led to an Ole field goal.
• One of the bright spots of the game for the Auggies was the play of the defensive line and linebacking corps, in particular linebacker

Jacob Bom (JR, Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka HS) and
Mustafa Adam (SO, River Falls, Wis.) also had nine tackles each.
• Augsburg's first score in the first quarter, when
Quinn Frisell (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) completed a 52-yard touchdown pass to
Nick Heenie (JR, Victoria, Minn./Waconia HS). Frisell also threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to
Kyle Hughes (SR, Minnetonka, Minn./Minneapolis Washburn HS) late in the third quarter. Frisell was 10-of-25 passing for 125 yards, but was intercepted twice.
•
Tiras Bolton (SR, Omaha, Neb./Omaha Westside HS) rushed 15 times for 61 yards, while Heenie caught two passes for 56 yards, and
Ray Guyton Jr. (JR, Stockton, Calif./St. Mary's HS) caught five passes for 27 yards.

MIAC's overall statistics in punting average (40.6 yards per-punt), averaged 40.3 yards on three punts in the game.
