MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University volleyball team earned its third victory of the week, topping Carleton College 3-0 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Augsburg volleyball team posted its third straight 3-0 victory, topping Carleton College in straight sets.
• Playing in her last regular season home match,
Jordan Weeding (SR, Greenfield, Minn./Rockford HS) recorded an impressive 12 kills on 25 attempts, hitting at a .400 clip, while adding five digs.
• Adding to the Augsburg offense was
Megan Quam (SO, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) and
Ellie Schwartz (SO, Woodburt, Minn./Hill-Murray HS), who posted seven kills apiece, with
Corrina Evans (FY, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) adding six kills and three blocks.

Macey Terhell (JR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) led all players with 16 digs, while adding six assists.
• Posting her third double-double in her last four matches,
Morgan Malley (JR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) finished with a match-best 29 assists, to go along with 13 digs and four kills.
• For the match, Augsburg hit .240, while holding Carleton to a .030 hitting percentage. The Auggies claimed a 39-24 advantage in kills, a 45-34 advantage in digs and 4-1 advantage in team blocks. The Auggies are 17-1 this season when they hit better than .200.

• The Augsburg senior class of
Bridget Bednar (SR, Pierz, Minn./Pierz HS),
Hannah Gibbemeyer (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS),
April Johnson (SR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS),
Taylor Linn (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS), and Weeding have won two MIAC regular-season championships and advanced to the NCAA Division III national tournament in 2014. This senior class has put together a 78-34 record (.694 winning percentage), among the top records for a senior class in Augsburg volleyball history.
FOR THE FOES
• Carleton was led by Elyse Wansenried, who finished with eight kills, while adding a pair of digs.
• Lauren Pak dished out 19 assists for the Knights, while Katie Tritschler picked up 15 digs.
