ST. PETER, Minn. -- The Augsburg University volleyball team dropped a hard-fought 3-2 loss to rival Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Gus Young Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg posted a 70-65 advantage in kills, a 93-87 advantage in digs and a 68-59 advantage in assists, but couldn't pull out the victory, dropping a 3-2 heartbreaker to Gustavus Adolphus.
• The Augsburg offense finished with five players with double-digit kills.
Taylor Linn (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) had an outstanding performance for the Auggies, recording a career- and match-high 24 kills to go along with 15 digs and two blocks. The double-double is her 10th of the season and 15th of her career.

Megan Quam (SO, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) also had a career-best performance for Augsburg, recording 12 kills, while adding four digs.Â
Jordan Weeding (SR, Greenfield, Minn./Rockford HS) posted her first kill-dig double-double of the season, finishing with 11 kills and 11 digs, while adding a pair of service aces.

Corrina Evans (FY, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) and
Ellie Schwartz (SO, Woodburt, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) added 11 and 10 kills respectively, while Evans added four blocks (one solo).

Morgan Malley (JR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) tied a career-high mark, finishing with 59 assists, while picking up 16 digs and adding three blocks.
• Defensively,
Macey Terhell (JR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) led all players with 21 digs, while adding six assists.
Tayah Barnes (FY, Preston, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) also matched a career-best effort, picking up 16 digs, while adding an ace.
• For the match, Augsburg hit .199, while Gustavus posted a .220 hitting percentage.Â
FOR THE FOES
• The Gustavus offense was led by the duo of Hanna Albers and Kate Holtan, who finished with 16 kills apiece. Albers added 17 digs, while Holtan added 11.
• Nora Holtan dished out 47 assists for the Gusties, while picking up 17 digs and adding nine kills.
