WINONA, Minn. -- Claiming her second collegiate shutout with a 14-save effort,
McKenna Manalli (JR, Byron, Ill./Byron HS) led her Augsburg University women's hockey squad to a 3-0 victory on Saturday and a series sweep of Saint Mary's University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After starting out the season with a loss, Augsburg has now rattled off five straight wins to move into first place in the MIAC standings with eight points. Augsburg is the lone MIAC team with an unbeaten conference record.
• Manalli did not have to face a shot in the first period, as the Auggies outshot the Cardinals 17-0 and scored two goals. She had seven saves in each of the next two periods for her 14-save total, improving to 5-0-0 on the season.
• Augsburg scored twice in a 16-second span midway through the first period to take a 2-0 lead.
Mackenzie Molnar (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) opened the scoring for the Auggies with her third goal of the season, scoring a power-play marker from
Taral Clayton (SR, Anchorage, Alaska/Dimond HS) and
Emily Ach (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) at the 11:19 mark. Sixteen seconds later,
Bridget Walter (JR, Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) scored from
Hollywood Hermanson (SO, Dover, Minn./Dover-Eyota HS).

Kayla Murray (JR, Beaver Dam, Wis./Beaver Dam HS) capped the scoring for the Auggies with a shorthanded goal with 3:03 left in the second period.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Manalli now has the best goals-against-average (0.97)
among MIAC goalies in overall statistics and the fourth-best save percentage (.936).
Among NCAA Division III goalies nationally, her goals-against-average is eighth-best.
FOR THE FOES
• Ashley Corcoran had 23 saves in goal for the Cardinals.
