MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University women's hockey team suffered a 3-1 setback to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in nonconference action on Saturday afternoon at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg got on the board first, as Kalli Prekker (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored her first collegiate goal at the 5:31 mark of the first period, assisted by
Megan Robertson (SR, Boissevain, Manitoba, Boissevain HS).
• Augsburg outshot UW-Stevens Point by an 18-4 margin in the first period, en route to a 43-22 advantage in shots on-goal in the game, but could not put the puck past Pointer goalie Sydney Conley, who finished with 42 saves for the win. Augsburg also outshot the Pointers by an 11-3 margin in the final period.

Rebecca Sonnek (SR, Edina, Minn./Edina HS) collected 19 saves for the Auggies in goal.

Valerie Whichello (JR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) led the Auggies with six shots, while
Mackenzie Molnar (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) and
Megan Johnson (JR, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) had five shots apiece.
FOR THE FOES
• Ellie Punnett and Cara Lemirande had a goal and assist each, with Ali Biagini adding the other UW-Stevens Point goal.
• Punnett tied the game with a goal from Lemirande at the 5:24 mark of the second period, and Lemirande gave the Pointers the lead with an unassisted goal late in the second frame.
