MINNEAPOLIS --
Richie Perea (SR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Wasson HS) led the Augsburg College men's basketball team with team-best 15 points in an 81-68 loss to Concordia College-Moorhead in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Monday night at Memorial Auditorium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a one-point game at the half, Concordia used a 12-2 run to start the second half to create some distance. Augsburg was able to cut the lead to five midway through the frame, but the Cobbers were able to do enough from the free-throw line down the stretch to seal the victory.
• Perea paced the Auggies with his 15-point effort, while shooting 7-of-12 from the field. Perea added a team-best five assists, while pulling down three rebounds.
• Leading the Augsburg rebounding effort was
Collin Olmscheid (JR, Buffalo, Minn.), who finished with seven rebounds, while adding 11 points and a blocked shot.
• One of the big story lines of the game came at the free-throw line. Concordia was able to hit 19-of-27 from the charity stripe, while Augsburg was only able to convert on 8-of-11 attempts.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 45.8 percent (27-of-59) from the field, while Concordia converted on 48.3 percent (28-of-58) of its shot attempts.
• Concordia claimed a 42-25 advantage on the boards.
FOR THE FOES
• The Cobber offense was led by Dylan Alderman, who finished with a game-high 20 points. Alderman shot a 6-of-9 from the field and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line.
• Zach Kinny led all players with a game-high 10 rebounds, while adding 10 points and five assists.

• The Auggies return to action on Saturday (2/4) at 3 p.m., when they travel to Northfield, Minn. to take on Carleton College.
