TUCSON, Ariz. -- For the third time in its six games in the Tucson Invitational Games, the Augsburg College baseball team reached double-digit totals in runs, as the Auggies scored a 14-4 victory over Marian University on Wednesday evening.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg pounded out 18 hits, including three doubles and two triples, in the game, halted in the bottom of the eighth inning due to the tournament's 10-run rule. Every Augsburg starter had at least one hit in the game, all but one scored at least one run, and all but one had at least one RBI.
• The Auggies struck first, as
Walker Rogers (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) plated
Clayton Bodine (SO, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) on an RBI groundout.
• The Sabres scored three runs in the top of the third, but the Auggies matched that output in the bottom of the frame.Tyler "Jonesy" Buescher (SR, Prior Lake, Minn.) singled,
Rhett Hebig (SR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) doubled and Buescher came home on an RBI single by
Josh Marlowe (SR, North St. Paul, Minn.). Hebig scored on a wild pitch, and Marlowe scored on a single by
Eric Olheiser (SR, Maplewood, Minn./Tartan HS).
• A Marlowe triple plated Hebig in the fourth inning, setting the stage for a five-run fifth inning, with 10 batters coming to the plate.
Zach Bakko (JR, Northfield, Minn.) and
Jack Duffy (SR, Fridley, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) hit RBI singles, Hebig hit an RBI double and another run came across on a bases-loaded walk.
• The Auggies ended the game early with a four-run eighth inning, as Bakko tripled to drive home Bodine, Rogers and
Jordan DeCroock (JR, Farmington, Minn.) hit back-to-back RBI doubles, and Hebig plated the final run of the game on an RBI groundout.
• Bakko and Rogers each went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Hebig, Marlowe, Olheiser, Bodine and DeCroock had two hits each. Hebig drove in three runs, and Buescher, Hebig, Bodine, Bakko, Rogers and DeCrook scored two runs each.

Lincoln Hochmuth (SR, Cannon Falls, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) struck out five while walking four in six innings of work, with
Joey Tschida (FY, Lakeville, Minn./St. Thomas Academy HS) striking out four while walking three in two innings of relief.
FOR THE FOES
• Matt Nordlund went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI for Marian. Tommy Dugandzic and Tommy Miller also drove in runs in the game.
• Six pitchers saw action in the game for the Sabres.
