TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Augsburg College softball team scored a split of its games on Wednesday at the Tucson Invitational Games, with a walk-off 5-4 win over the University of Puget Sound and a 5-3 loss to Trinity University.

PUGET SOUND GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg rallied twice in the game against Puget Sound, tying the game with a two-run sixth inning and winning the game with a two-run seventh inning.
• With the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth,
Katie Parker (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) reached base on an infield single to bring home a run, and the tying run came across as the throw to first sailed wide.
• Puget Sound took the lead on a two-run home run in the top of the seventh, but the Auggies scored the walk-off win, again with two outs. Singles byÂ

Jacquline Nichols (SO, Royalton, Minn.) and
Carly Dropik (SO, Alexandria, Minn.) loaded the bases, andÂ
Brianna Cline (JR, St. Clair, Minn.) hit a two-run single down the left-field line to score the dramatic victory.

Amanda Niznik (SR, Columbia Heights, Minn.) led off the second inning with a double and came around to score on an RBI double by Nichols.

Haley Larson (JR, Shakopee, Minn./Prior Lake HS) went 3-for-3 in the game, while Cline, Parker, Niznik, Hurley and Nichols had two hits each.

Samantha Anderson (SO, Coon Rapids, Minn.) pitched a complete-game victory, striking out five while walking two.
TRINITY GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg fell behind 5-1 after six innings, but scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut into the advantage.
• Dropik led off the first inning with a triple, then scored on an RBI single byÂ
Anesia King (FY, Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS).
• A two-run double by Larson in the bottom of the second plated Parker and King, but the Auggies could get no closer to Trinity in the loss.
• Dropik had two hits in the game to lead the Auggies.

Courtney Larsen (JR, Little Canada, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) pitched five innings for the Auggies, with Anderson pitching the final two innings in relief.
