RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Augsburg College used a 6-1 scoring run over a 16-minute span bracketing the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half to pull away from Concordia University-Chicago in a 13-7 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference victory on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Leading 5-4, the Auggies scored three goals in the final 3:05 of the first half and three of the first four goals over the opening 12:45 of the second half to take an 11-5 advantage.
• Helena Nguyen (JR, Maple Grove, Minn.) led the Auggies with four goals on four shots-on-goal, while Mikayla Knudson (FY, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) had two goals and an assist, alogn with a ground ball, draw control and caused turnover.
• Delaney Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored two goals with seven draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Ashley Pettipiece (JR, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) had a goal, assist and ground ball in the game.
• Izzy Snow (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS), Rachel Frantz (SR, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS), Dezera Sieracki (SR, Wyoming, Minn./Centennial HS) and Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) also scored goals for the Auggies, with Jones claiming two draw controls and Snow, Frantz and Sieracki each adding a ground ball.
• Christina Nelson (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had two draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover, and Jesse Heusinkveld (JR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had two ground balls and four caused turnovers.
• Goalie Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had five saves, a ground ball and a caused turnover.
• Augsburg outshot Thomas More by a 26-4 margin. The Auggies recorded 13 clears in 17 attempts, while Concordia-Chicago was 11-for-20.

FOR THE FOES
• Anna Kellar and Margaret Doane each had three goals and an assist for four-point afternoons. Doane had three draw controls and two ground balls, and Kellar had two draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Krystal Phillips had nine saves in goal for Concordia-Chicago.
