MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College women's lacrosse team was able to rally twice from multi-goal deficits, but Aurora University scored the final three goals of the game to claim a 10-7 win over the hosts in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 4-1 after the opening 7:32 of the game, Augsburg rallied with five of the next six goals to tie the game at 5-5 with 11:34 left in the first half. Aurora took a 7-5 lead at halftime, but the Auggies rallied again to tie the game at 7-7 with 23:27 left. Aurora took the lead on a goal with 13:46 left, then scored twice in the final two-and-a-half minutes to secure the victory.

Delaney Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) a strong all-around game for the Auggies, scoring three goals with two assists, while also claiming four caused turnovers, three draw controls and two ground balls.

Mikayla Knudson (FY, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River) scored two goals, while adding four draw controls and a ground ball.
Demey Everett (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored a goal with two caused turnovers and two ground balls, and
Helena Nguyen (JR, Maple Grove, Minn.) scored a goal with four caused turnovers, two draw controls and a ground ball.

Christina Nelson (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had six ground balls, six caused turnovers and a draw control, and Jesse Heusinkveld (JR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) had two draw controls and a caused turnovers, and

Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had eight saves and three ground balls.
• Aurora outshot Augsburg by a 23-17 margin in the game, while also claiming 33 ground balls to Augsburg's 26. Augsburg had 13 ground balls to Aurora's five. Aurora converted 17-of-28 clearing attempts, while Augsburg converted 14-of-24.
FOR THE FOES
• Lauren Whitfield scored three goals with two assists to lead Aurora, while also adding five caused turnovers, two draw controls and nine ground balls.
