MINNEAPOLIS -- With 10 different players figuring in the scoring, the Augsburg College women's lacrosse team used a balanced attack to top Benedictine University 16-10 in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Benedictine tied the game at 8-8 four minutes into the second half, but Augsburg scored eight of the final 10 goals of the contest to claim the important MWLC victory, keeping the Auggies in the upper half of the league standings at 3-2 in MWLC play.

Delaney Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) and
Rachel Frantz (SR, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) led the Augsburg attach, each scoring three goals with an assist. Everett added five draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers, and Frantz had five caused turnovers, four ground balls and a draw control. She also scored on both her free-position attempts.

Dezera Sieracki (SR, Wyoming, Minn./Centennial HS) and
Helena Nguyen (JR, Maple Grove, Minn.) scored two goals with an assist each. Sieracki had two caused turnovers and two ground balls, and Nguyen claimed two ground balls.

Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) scored two goals with two caused turnovers, two ground balls and a draw control.
Izzy Snow (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) had a goal, assist, ground ball, draw control and caused turnover.

Christina Nelson (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) scored a goal while adding six ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Mikayla Knudson (FY, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) scored a goal with three ground balls, three draw controls and a caused turnover, and
Katie Kvilvang (SO, Grand Rapids, Minn.) scored a goal with a ground ball and caused turnover.

Demey Everett (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had an assist with two caused turnovers, two ground balls and a draw control, and
Jesse Heusinkveld (JR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) contributed three caused turnovers and a ground ball.
• Goalie
Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had eight saves, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• Augsburg outshot Benedictine by a 35-29 margin in the game, while also collecting 31 ground balls to Benedictine's 23. The Eagles had 16 draw controls to Augsburg's 12, but the Auggies converted an impressive 26-of-31 clearing attempts, compared to 18-of-32 for the Eagles.
FOR THE FOES
• Lexie Orr and Madison Horan scored three goals each for Benedictine. Orr had five draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Horan had three draw controls and a ground ball.
• Becca Gullet scored a goal, along with seven caused turnovers, seven draw controls and six ground balls.
• Hannah Smith had eight saves and four ground balls for Benedictine.
