MINNEAPOLIS --
Delaney Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) tied a single-game points record and set a record for draw controls, leading the Augsburg College women's lacrosse team in a 19-2 win over Northland College on Wednesday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Everett scored five goals with two assists for seven points, tying a single-game school record for points. The mark has been achieved four times before -- twice by Everett and twice by
Helena Nguyen (JR, Maple Grove, Minn.). She also set a new single-game school record with 13 draw controls, breaking the old mark of 12, set by
Rachel Frantz (SR, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) in a 2015 game. In addition to her scoring and draw controls, Everett claimed four ground balls and had four caused turnovers.
• Augsburg dominated every facet of the game, outshooting the Lumberjills by a 28-14 margin and scoring the first 16 goals of the game. Northland was unable to score until a free-position goal with 11:15 left in the second half.

Izzy Snow (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) scored four goals with an assist, while contributing three caused turnovers and four ground balls. Nguyen scored three goals, and
Demey Everett (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had a goal and two assists.

Christina Nelson (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) led the Auggie defense with six ground balls and six caused turnovers, while Jesse Heusinkveld (JR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had four ground balls and four caused turnovers.

FOR THE FOES
• Courtney Neville scored both Northland goals on free-position shots in the final 11:15 of play.
• Emily Covert had six ground balls and five caused turnovers. Ashley Hammes and Eliese Hart had three ground balls and three caused turnovers each.
• Josephine McGrego had five saves in 51 minutes in goal, while Ariah Law had two saves in nine minutes of relief.
