BELOIT, Wis. --
Mikayla Knudson (FY, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) scored all three of her goals in the second half, including two goals in a 66-second span late in the game to give her Augsburg College women's lacrosse team a lead it would not relinquish in a 10-9 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference win at Beloit College on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Beloit opened the game with the first four goals and led 6-3 with 4:28 left in the first half, but Augsburg rallied to tie the game at 6-6 at halftime, behind three straight goals byÂ
Izzy Snow (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS), coming in a 2:57 span.Â
• Knudson gave the Auggies their first lead with a goal at the 23:05 mark of the second half, andÂ
Ashley Pettipiece (JR, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) extended the lead to 8-6 with a free-position goal with 15:21 left. The Buccaneers tied the game at 8-8 with two goals in a 90-second span, but Knudson scored two straight goals to give the Auggies a 10-8 lead with 4:15 remaining. Beloit cut the lead to 10-9 with a goal with 3:00 left, but the Auggies were able to hold off the Buccaneers for the key conference win.

Delaney Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored a goal with four ground balls and four draw controls for the Auggies, while her sister
Demey Everett (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had a goal, assist and draw control.

Dezera Sieracki (SR, Wyoming, Minn./Centennial HS) also scored a goal, and
Annika Hegrenes (FY, Maplewood, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) added an assist with a ground ball.

Christina Nelson (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had four ground balls, a draw control and a caused turnover, and
Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) had two ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had 12 saves in goal, along with two ground balls.
• Beloit outshot Augsburg by a 27-26 margin, while the Auggies had 11 draw controls to Beloit's seven. Augsburg converted 14-of-15 clearing attempts, compared to 17-of-20 for Beloit.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• With the win, Augsburg vaulted into a third-place tie with Twin Cities rival Hamline in the MWLC standings, each with identical 9-3 overall and 6-2 MWLC records. The Auggies are aiming for their second straight trip to the four-team MWLC postseason playoffs. After Saturday's play, six teams have five or more MWLC wins.
