KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augsburg College women's lacrosse team saw its four-game winning streak snapped in a 17-8 loss to host Carthage College in a nonconference game on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Carthage scored the first four goals of the game in the first six minutes of action. Augsburg was able to cut the lead to 5-4, but the Lady Reds scored the final two goals of the first half, then outscored the Auggies 7-2 to take a 13-6 advantage with 12:02 left in the game.

Helena Nguyen (JR, Maple Grove, Minn.) led the Auggies with three goals and an assist, while adding four ground balls.
Delaney Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored a goal with four ground balls and four draw controls.

Izzy Snow (SO, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) scored a goal with an assist and a ground ball.Â
Mikayla Jones (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) scored a goal with a ground ball, draw control and a caused turnover.

Christina Nelson (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had three draw controls and a caused turnover, while
Jesse Heusinkveld (JR, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) had two caused turnovers and a ground ball.

Marissa Guillou (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) had 15 saves in goal, along with six ground balls.
• Beloit outshot Augsburg by a 27-26 margin, while the Auggies had 11 draw controls to Beloit's seven. Augsburg converted 14-of-15 clearing attempts, compared to 17-of-20 for Beloit.
FOR THE FOES
• Rachel Mussell scored six goals with five ground balls, seven draw controls and a caused turnover, to lead the Lady Reds.
• Kendell Santin scored four goals with an assist, four ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Maddie Griffin scored two goals with two assists, six ground balls, five draw controls and two caused turnovers.
• Maggie Allen had three saves in goal, along with a ground ball.
