Stewig paces Augsburg at St. Olaf

NORTHFIELD, Minn.-- For the second consecutive race, Blair Stewig (SR, Maple Lake, Minn.) was the top finisher for the Augsburg University women's cross country team, competing at the St. Olaf College Invitational on Saturday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Pacing the Auggies was Blair Stewig (SR, Maple Lake, Minn.), who finished with a 25:46.44 clocking.
 • Caitlin Olson (JR, Onamia, Minn.) crossed the line next for Augsburg, finishing with a time of 28:19.24.
• Auggie newcomer Zoe Hubner (FY, Neenah, Wis./Neenah HS) posted a time of 28:34.04 in her first collegiate 6,000-meter race.
• Rounding out the Augsburg contingent was Kassandra Diaz (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS), who finished with a time of 41:39.46.

FOR THE FOES
• UW-Eau Claire claimed the team victory with 57 team points and six racers in the top-21 finishers.
• St. Scholastica's Casey Hovland was the individual champion with a time of 22:15.23.

UP NEXT
• Augsburg is idle next weekend and returns to action on Sept. 30 at the Carleton Running of the Crows at 10 a.m.
