MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University women's cross country team earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday for its outstanding academic record during the 2019 season.
Under sixth-year head coach
Meghan Peyton, the Auggie women had a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.17 through the fall semester of the 2019-20 school year. Augsburg was among 212 NCAA Division III women's cross country teams to earn the USTFCCCAÂ academic distinction. To qualify, teams must have a 3.10 cumulative GPA or better through the most recent grading period.
It marks the fifth season that Augsburg's women's squad has earned USTFCCCAÂ All-Academic Team honors during Peyton's head coaching tenure.
