ETTRICK, Wis. -- The Augsburg University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse -- the men running in the Jim Drews Invitational, while the women ran in the Tori Neubauer Invitational -- on Saturday morning at the Ettrick Golf Club.

AUGSBURG MEN
• All Augsburg men's runners set either their personal-best or year-best times in Saturday's race. Pacing the men was
Sakariya Hussien (FY, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS), who shaved almost four minutes off his personal-best, with a time of 27:07.0, finishing 120th overall (84th team).

Cody Rieder (FY, Delano, Minn./Delano HS) was next across for the Auggies at 27:29.1, good for 154th overall (106th team). Finishing 164th (112th team) was
Alex Stonick (FY, Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson HS), earning a 27:33.5 clocking, close to two minutes faster than his career-best.
• Next across the finish line for Augsburg were
Michael Abeyta (FY, McMinniville, Ore./McMinniville HS) at 28:36.5 and
Kevin Sethre (SO, Berthoud, Colo./Berthoud HS) at 29:30.5.
Greg Miller (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished in 29:37.8.
• Rounding out the Auggie contingent were
Aaron Puent (FY, La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Aquinas HS),
Erik Garcia Gonzaga (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Minneapolis South HS) and
William McLeer (SO, Cobb, Wis./Iowa Grant HS) with times of 31:00.5, 31:26.2 and 35:19.4 respectively.
AUGSBURG WOMEN
• Similar to the men, all Auggie women runners set either personal-best or year-best times. First-year Zoe Barany (FY, Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East HS) led Augsburg, finishing 74th overall (55th team) at 24:14.5. Ann Sheely (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area HS) crossed next at 25:34.4, good for 152nd overall (102nd team).
• Chloe Kintop (FY, Foxboro, Wis./Superior HS) and Grace Hartman (SO, Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) crossed the finish line at 27:01.9 and 28:24.9, respectively.
• All finishing in the 30th minute were Maya Whitaker-Long (FY, Madison, Wis./Madison West HS), Jasmine Gonzalez (SR, Red Lake, Minn./Flandreau Indian School) and Camryn Masse (SO, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) -- Whitaker-Long with a 30:06.6 clocking, Gonzalez at 30:41.3 and Masse crossing at 30:41.8.
