QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "We did what we do well today, remaining patient in possession and scoring at the right moments in the game.
Tommy Picka has been fantastic in training all week and earned the call-up, and he showed why when he put the first one away across his body. His involvement and textured entry pass to Aidan for the second goal was even more impressive. Overall, he is proving to be of high value very early in his career."
• "I thought our back four were great on the ball. They remained extra patient and didn't try to force anything that wasn't available. The surface was really thick, so it wasn't as easy as they made it look."
• "Peyton needed that goal. He's been struggling with a little illness and his confidence has been down, so this might be just the lift he needed."
• "It's good to keep two clean sheets to start the season with two different GKs. We have a long way to go, but we are moving in the right direction."
• "At the end of the game, we had five first-year players getting valuable experience and a chance to shake out some nerves. From this group, I thought
Johnny Vu was really good today and his performance should be noted. These players all help our squad depth and provide a lot of options for how we can play. Sooner rather than later, we hope to add Ebesa back into the fold, making the competition for minutes even stronger."
