Corrina Evans (FY, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) and
Taylor Linn (SR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) had outstanding offensive performances allowing the Augsburg University volleyball team to cruise past Hamline University in a three-set sweep on Saturday at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg hit an impressive .375 as a team, with 41 kills and just eight attack errors in 88 attempts. The Auggies opened with a blistering attack, hitting .550 (12 kills, 1 error, 20 attempts) in winning the opening set 25-7. The Auggies had 15 kills in the second set to seal a 25-17 victory, then claimed the sweep with 14 kills in a 25-15 win in the final set. Hamline was limited to a -.052 attack percentage by the Auggies, who claimed 18 blocks in the match.
• In the middle, Evans did not commit an attack error in recording 10 kills on 16 attempts, a .750 attack percentage that stands as a season-best for the Auggies.
• Linn had another strong effort, claiming 10 kills with a .421 attack percentage -- her sixth match hitting .400 or better this season. She added three block assists and six digs.
• The Auggie attack also received six kills from both
Jordan Weeding (SR, Greenfield, Minn./Rockford HS) and
Megan Quam (SO, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS).
• Defensively, Augsburg posted 48 digs, compared to 35 for the Pipers. Leading the way was
Macey Terhell (JR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS), who picked 12 digs, while
Tayah Barnes (FY, Preston, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) added 10 digs.

Morgan Malley (JR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) led all players with 35 assists.
FOR THE FOES
• Morgen Coleman and Jaelin Jones had five kills each to lead Hamline, while Coleman and Emily Lincoln had two block assists.
• Megan Anderson posted 10 digs for the Pipers.
