ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- Connecting on 63.5 percent (33-of-52) from the field in the game, while holding visiting Augsburg University to a 39.4-percent (26-of-66) effort from the field, the Bethel University women's basketball team claimed a 96-64 win in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A 13-2 run early in the first half gave Bethel its first double-digit lead, 18-7, and the Royals' lead did not dip below six points the rest of the way, as Bethel snapped Augsburg's four-game winning streak. Bethel led 47-38 at halftime and extended its lead to as many as 35 points in the closing minutes. The 96 points are the most scored against an Augsburg squad this season.

Aiza Wilson (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) scored 13 points to lead Augsburg, adding a team-best three assists.

Arianna Jones (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) scored 11 points with a team-best six rebounds and two steals, and
Camryn Speese (SO, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) scored 10 points.
• K'Aezha Wubben (SO, SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) scored nine points and
Bridget Bednar (SR, Pierz, Minn./Pierz HS) scored eight points with four rebounds.
• Bethel out-rebounded Augsburg by a 39-24 margin in the game and blocked seven shots to Augsburg's two. Bethel's bench outscored Augsburg's by a 27-11 margin.
• Augsburg suffered its first loss in nine games this season in games when shooting better than 37.0 percent from the field.Â

• Abby Miller scored 21 points to lead four Bethel players in double-figures. Hannah Johnson scored 13 points with 16 rebounds and two blocked shots.
• Angie Kirchoff scored 16 points with five assists and two blocks, and Taite Anderson scored 13 points with six rebounds and two blocks.
