ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A goal with 1:46 left in regulation time gave Hamline University a 1-0 victory over visiting Augsburg University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey contest on Friday evening.

• The game was a closely contested, even affair throughout, with Hamline outshooting Augsburg by a 25-20 margin. Neither team could score on two power plays each in the game.

Rebecca Sonnek (SR, Edina, Minn./Edina HS) stopped 24 of the 25 shotsshe faced in goal, but took the hard-luck loss in goal for the Auggies. Sonnek's .934 save percentage is second-best among MIAC goalies in overall statistics, while her 1.57 goals-against-average is tied for third-best.
