Will Peterson (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) scored the lone goal of the game for Augsburg University, but the Auggies could not complete a comeback from a 2-0 deficit in a 4-1 loss to host Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey action on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Peterson scored his second goal of the season, a power-play marker, at the 15:12 mark of the second period, assisted by
Max Pernhem (SR, Stockholm, Sweden/Dragonskolan), cutting the Gustavus lead to 2-1.
• Augsburg was unable to claim the game-tying goal, and surrendered two empty-net goals in the closing minute of play.
• Augsburg outshot Gustavus by a 36-31 margin in the game.
Nick Schmit (JR, Fargo, N.D./Fargo North HS) had 27 saves in goal for the Auggies.

Nate Flynn (SR, Hastings, Minn.) had five shots on-goal to lead the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Jake McCann opened the scoring with a goal 12:52 into the first period, and Colton Schmidt scored a power-play goal at the 8:35 mark of the second period.
• Evan Erickson and J.P. Eykyn had empty-net goals for Gustavus in the last minute of the game.
• Chris Amsden collected 35 saves in goal for the Gusties.
