ST. PAUL, Minn. --
Arianna Jones (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) scored a career-high 19 points to lead the Augsburg University women's basketball team to a 72-62 victory over Hamline University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a slow start to the game where the Auggies trailed by as many as 14 early in the second quarter, Augsburg rallied to cut the Piper advantage to 35-30 at the half and grabbed its first lead of the game at the 7:07 mark of the third quarter, on a three-point basket by Jones. Augsburg held the lead for the remainder of the third quarter, but the Pipers went up 55-53 with 7:13 to play in the fourth. The Auggies went on an 11-1 run over the next 5:07 and wouldn't give up the lead again to claim the important conference win.
• Augsburg had a balanced scoring attack, finishing with four players in double figures. Jones led the way with her career-high 19 points, connecting on 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-8 from three-point range. Jones added four rebounds and a pair of assists. She is currently ranked second in the MIAC in assists per-game (3.3).
• K'Aezha Wubben (SO, SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) tied a season-high, finishing with 18 points on a 7-for-13 shooting performance.Â
• Dishing out a game- and season-best seven assists,
Tamira McLemore (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS), also added 14 points, three blocked shots and three steals.

Camryn Speese (SO, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS)Â paced Augsburg on the boards, pulling down eight rebounds to go along with 11 points.
Jazmyn Solseth (FY, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) added six rebounds for the Auggies and chipped in six points and three steals.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the field, while Hamline connected on 36.7 percent (22-of-60) of its shot attempts.
• Hamline claimed a 45-32 advantage on the boards, but Augsburg posted a 20-13 advantage in the turnover battle and claimed a 21-12 advantage in points off turnovers.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg is 7-0 this season in games when shooting better than 37.7 percent from the field.
• It's the sixth time this season that Augsburg has scored 70-plus points. Augsburg's 67.2 points per-game average is fourth-best
among MIAC teams in overall statistics.

• Hamline was led Alaina Quaranta, who scored 19 points and added eight rebounds.
• Reilly Geistfeld pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds for the Pipers.
