HOW IT HAPPENED
• Moving into the MIAC overall lead in both goals (11) and total points (19), Flynn scored the 49th and 50th goals of his collegiate career on Saturday. He now has 89 career points (50 goals, 39 assists) in 95 career games.
• Flynn scored his first goal of the game at the 14:24 mark of the second period, a power-play marker on assists from Eli May (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and Max Pernhem (SR, Stockholm, Sweden/Dragonskolan). His second goal came at the 16:39 mark of the third period, assisted by Eric Brenk (JR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS), as he drove the puck around the goal, with his shot deflecting off a Hamline player and into the net.
Drew Anderson (SR, Rochester, Minn./Century HS) scored his fourth goal of the season at the 9:38 mark of the second period, claiming a rebound goal off assists from Chandler Madry (Jr, Bakersfield, Calif./Fairbanks (Alaska) BEST HS) and Lukas Gillett (JR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS). Madry's 12 assists this season are tied for the MIAC's overall lead.
• Schmit stopped all 20 shots she faced to record his first shutout of the season and second of his career in goal. Playing all but 4:55 of Augsburg's 904:47 this season in goal, Schmit now has a 2.27 goals-against-average and .918 save percentage -- fifth and sixth, respectively, among MIAC goalies in overall statistics.
