MINNEAPOLIS --
Megan Johnson (JR, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) claimed her fourth career multi-goal game, scoring both Augsburg University goals in the Auggies' 2-1 nonconference win over the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Johnson scored a power-play goal at the 13:20 mark of the first period, assisted by
Hollywood Hermanson (SO, Dover, Minn./Dover-Eyota HS) and
Megan Robertson (SR, Boissevain, Manitoba/Boissevan HS).
• After UW-Eau Claire tied the game midway through the second period, Johnson gave the Auggies the lead back with her team-leading sixth goal of the season, assisted by
Mackenzie Molnar (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS). Johnson's six goals are tied for ninth
among MIAC players in overall statistics.

Rebecca Sonnek (SR, Edina, Minn./Edina HS) stopped 23 of the 24 shots she faced to claim the win in goal for the Auggies. Sonnek now has a .929 save percentage and 1.68 goals against-average, ranking third and fourth among MIAC goalies in the respective categories.
• Augsburg outshot UW-Eau Claire by a 25-24 margin in the game, including a 10-4 advantage in the first period.
• Combined with Saturday's 3-1 road win, the Auggies completed a weekend sweep of UW-Eau Claire. The Auggies are now 5-4 in the all-time series against the Blugolds, including wins in four of their last five meetings.
FOR THE FOES
• Hanna Zavoral scored a power-play goal for the Blugolds at the 12:10 mark of the second period, assisted by Mariah Czech and Jaedyn Walz.
• Erin Connolly had 23 saves in goal for UW-Eau Claire.

• Augsburg returns to MIAC action with a series next weekend against Hamline. Next Friday's (1/12) game is at 5 p.m. at the TRIA Rink at Treasure Island Center in downtown St. Paul, Minn., the new practice rink for the NHL's Minnesota Wild.
