NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Behind another strong defensive effort and six saves in goal by
Garrett Kaelin (JR, Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray HS), Augsburg University kept pace in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer standings with a scoreless, two-overtime tie at Carleton College on Saturday afternoon.

• Augsburg's strong defense, led by sweeper
Daniel Hedstrom (JR, Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS),
Hsinku Lay (SO, Maplewood, Minn./Roseville HS),
Luke Falk (SR, Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West HS),
Taylor Sullivan (JR, Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS),
Kouseng Yang (SR, Hugo, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) and
Peyton Boich (JR, Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS), helped Kaelin earn his third shutout of the season and Augsburg's sixth shutout as a team. Augsburg has allowed just nine goals this season,
second-fewest among MIAC teams.
• Carleton outshot Augsburg by a 27-6 margin in the game, including an 18-4 advantage in the second half. The Knights outshot the Auggies by a 4-1 margin in the 20 minutes of overtime. The Knights also had six corner kicks to Augsburg's one.
• Six different Auggies had shots in the game, with
