Navarre gets 200th win, St. Aubin sets points record

MINNEAPOLIS -- Head Coach Mike Navarre recorded his 200th career women's soccer coaching victory, and junior forward Ashley St. Aubin (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) became Augsburg University's all-time career points leader, as the Auggies won their seventh straight game with a 3-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference triumph over Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Already Augsburg's career goal-scoring record-holder, St. Aubin tied the Augsburg career points mark with her 18th goal of the season and 50th of her career, a free kick from 35 yards out in the 16th minute. She then set the new points record with her 120th career point, assisting on a goal by Gabriela Encarnacion (JR, Bel Air, Md./Bel Air HS) in the 61st minute.
• St. Aubin extended her consecutive-game goal-scoring streak to 11 games. She has 14 goals and eight assists for 36 points in the 11-game scoring streak.
• Encarnacion scored her sixth goal of the season at the 60:35 mark, taking a throw-in from St. Aubin and scoring from inside the six-yard box.
Jada Olson (JR, Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) collected her second goal of the season with 20 minutes to play, taking a try in front by Kealie Espinda Banick (SR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) following a corner kick by Nora Edelen (SR, Middleton, Wis./Middleton HS).
• Augsburg held firm control of the game in the first half, outshooting the Cobbers by a 10-2 margin, en route to a 19-11 shots advantage in the game. The Auggies also had five corner kicks to the Cobbers' two.
• Augsburg goalkeeper Emily Chapman (JR, Elburn, Ill./Kaneland HS), who had four saves, all in the second half, to pick up her eighth shutout of the season -- tops among MIAC goalkeepers. 
• St. Aubin had six shots in the game, while Encarnacion had five shots.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• In his 20th season as Augsburg's women's soccer head coach, Navarre reached the 200-win plateau. He is now 200-128-42 (.597 winning percentage), nearly triple the combined number of wins by the prior five coaches (76-138-11) in the first 14 seasons of Augsburg's women's soccer program. He also coached Augsburg's men's soccer team for five seasons (1999-2003, 22-59-5), giving him a 222-187-47 (.538) overall collegiate soccer coaching record. 
• Augsburg's career scoring leader with 50 career goals, St. Aubin broke the old school record for career points, 119 (46 goals, 27 assists), set by Olivia Muyres '15 (2011-14). In 57 career games, St. Aubin now has 120 points (50 goals, 20 assists).
•  In her 57-game college career, St. Aubin has scored at least one goal in 37 games, and the Auggies are 35-1-1 when she scores a goal.
• The MIAC's leader in goals and points the last two seasons, St. Aubin leads the MIAC in both goals (18) and points (45), while she is tied for second in assists (9).
• The shutout victory was Augsburg's ninth of the season and seventh in its last eight games. Augsburg is tied with St. Thomas for the conference lead with nine shutouts. Augsburg has outscored its opponents by a 38-11 margin this season -- the third-most goals scored by MIAC teams and the third-fewest goals allowed in the league.
