MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University women's soccer team had its seven-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night, as the No. 24-ranked University of St. Thomas erupted for a 5-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The MIAC-leading Tommies took a 2-0 halftime lead, then scored three goals in a 6:43 span early in the second half to take a commanding lead.
• The Auggies outshot the Tommies by a 25-17 margin in the game, but St. Thomas goalkeeper Sarah Pasternak made 13 saves, including several on Auggie shots from point-blank range.

Ashley St. Aubin (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) had seven shots, including three on-goal and one that hit the right post in the 21st minute.
Jessy Wiskofske (SR, Wausau, Wis./Wausau West HS) had three shots, including two on-goal.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The loss snapped an 11-game goal-scoring streak by St. Aubin, the ninth-longest streak in NCAA Division III women's soccer history. The Division III record is 27 straight games, set by Katy Sturtz of Ohio Wesleyan in the 1998 and 1999 seasons.
• Having already qualified for the six-team MIAC postseason playoffs, Augsburg can secure the No. 3-seed in the playoffs, and a home quarterfinal game on Tuesday (10/20), with a win in its regular-season finale at St. Olaf on Saturday (10/27).Â

• Mallory DeBoom scored a three-goal hat trick for St. Thomas, with all three goals coming on assists by Kaley Roberts. DeBoom also assisted on a goal by Elizabeth Luotto, and Kate Heimer scored on a penalty kick.
• DeBoom had six shots in the game, while Luotto had four shots and Heimer had three shots.
• St. Thomas is ranked No. 24 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division III national poll.
