NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- For the second time in a three-game span,
Emmanuel Egbujor (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored two goals in the opening 12 minutes of play, lifting Augsburg University to a 3-0 victory over St. Olaf College in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A week after Egbujor scored twice in the opening 11 minutes of play in Augsburg's 4-1 win over Concordia-Moorhead, he struck again early on Saturday, scoring two goals in a 1:02 span in the opening 12 minutes of action. He scored on a rebound of his own initial shot at the 10:49 mark, then notched his team-best eighth goal of the season on a breakaway at the 11:51 mark.

Daniel Hedstrom (JR, Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) claimed his sixth goal of the season -- all on set pieces -- at the 28:42 mark, putting home a free kick by

• St. Olaf outshot Augsburg by a 21-17 margin, but Auggie goalkeeper
Garrett Kaelin (JR, Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) claimed a career-high 11 saves to pick up his fourth shutout of the season, fifth of his career and Augsburg's eighth shutout of the 2018 campaign.

• With the victory, Augsburg finished as the No. 5 seed in the six-team MIAC postseason playoffs, and will play at No. 4-seed St. Thomas on Tuesday (10/30) at 2 p.m. In their regular-season meeting, the Tommies edged the Auggies 1-0 on Tuesday at Edor Nelson Field.
• The MIAC playoff berth is Augsburg's sixth since 2006, and its second in the past three years.
• Augsburg's 11 wins are its most since finishing 11-5-2 in the 2012 season.
