ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's basketball team remained unbeaten on the young season, posting a 69-57 victory over the University of Northwestern-St. Paul in nonconference action on Saturday afternoon at the Ericksen Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Augsburg defense limited the Eagles to just six points in the first quarter and never trailed in the game. The Auggies forced 22 Northwestern turnovers, while only committing 11 and posted a 25-15 advantage in point off turnovers. Augsburg was also able to post a 15-4 advantage in second chance points.
• Augsburg shot 33.8 percent (23-of-68) from the field, while Northwestern connected on 41.5 percent (22-of-53) of its shot attempts.
• For the second consecutive game, Augsburg hit 10-plus three-pointers, as the Auggies connected on 12-of-33 from beyond the arc, while limiting the Eagles to just 4-of-16 from three-point range.
• The Eagles claimed a narrow 36-34 advantage on the boards.

Tamira McLemore (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) led Augsburg with a game-and-season-high 22 points, which included a 5-of-10 effort from three-point range. McLemore added six rebounds, a pair of steals and an assist.Â
• Leading Augsburg on the boards was
Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS), who pulled down eight rebounds, to go along with three steals. Speese finished with a season-high 14 points, shooting 4-for-8 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
• Also finishing in double-figures for the Auggies was
Arianna Jones (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) andÂ
Selena Lor (FY, Winona, Minn./Winona HS), who finished with 11 points each. Jones dished out a game-high six assists and added two steals, while Lor added a pair of assists and a steal.

Camille McCoy (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) and
Jazmyn Solseth (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) added six and five rebounds respectively for the Auggies.

FOR THE FOES
• Northwestern's Miranda Crenshawa led all players with a game-high 16 rebounds, while adding nine points.
• Amy Berglund and Kelsea Lund both finished in double figures, scoring 15 and 12 points respectively to lead the Eagles.
