Daniil Gerasimov (SO, Moscow, Russia/State School 1944) stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced, and Augsburg's forward line of
Alex Rodriguez (SR, Miami, Fla./Shattuck-St. Mary's (Minn.) HS),
Chandler Madry (SR, Bakersfield, Calif./Fairbanks (Alaska) BEST HS) and
Tommy Carey (SO, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) scored two third-period goals, lifting the Augsburg University men's hockey team to a 3-1 nonconference win over the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 1-0 after one period, Augsburg tied the game 3:10 into the second period, as
Gavin Holland (FY, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) scored his first collegiate goal, assisted by
Charlie Parker (SO, Verona, Wis./Verona HS) and
Jason Krych (JR, Champlin, Minn./Totino-Grace HS).
• Madry gave the Auggies a 2-1 lead at the 7:10 mark of the third period, completing a break on assists from Carey and Rodriguez. On a power play following a major penalty, Rodriguez capped the scoring with his seventh goal of the season, assisted by Madry and Carey.
• Playing in his fifth collegiate game and fourth start, Gerasimov recorded 28 saves to pick up the victory, his third of the season and fourth in his career.
Gerasimov leads Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference goalies in both goals against-average (1.42) and save percentage (.947).
• Augsburg had a 31-29 shots on-goal advantage in the game.
