SUPERIOR, Wis. --
McKenna Manalli (SR, Byron, Ill./Byron HS) stopped all 15 shots she faced to pick up her third collegiate shutout, as the Augsburg University women's hockey team extended its winning streak to five straight games with a 2-0 nonconference win at the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a scoreless first period, the Auggies scored both of their goals in a 6:13 span in the second period.
Mikayla Jones (JR, Oak Park Heights, Minn./B.E. Emerson Prep HS) scored her second goal of the season, assisted by
Megan Johnson (SR, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) at the 6:02 mark, and
Jeanette Bealke (JR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) scored from
Emily Ach (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) and
Ellie Tabaka (JR, Maplewood, Minn./Tartan HS) at the 12:15 mark.
• Augsburg outshot its opponent for the seventh time in as many games this season, claiming a 31-15 shots on-goal advantage, including a 15-6 advantage in the decisive second period.
• Improving to 3-1-0 on the season, Manalli had 15 saves in goal to claim her first shutout of the season and third of her college career. It's Augsburg's second shutout win of the season.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• With her assist on Jones' goal, Johnson reached the 50-point plateau in her college career. In 86 career games, she now has 28 goals and 22 assists for 50 points.
• Augsburg held the Yellowjackets scoreless on four power-play opportunities on Tuesday.
Augsburg is the only MIAC team that has yet to give up an opponent power-play goal this season, killing off all 34 opponent opportunities so far.
Augsburg is one of just five NCAA Division III teams to remain perfect on its penalty kills, and its 34 opponent power plays killed are the most among those five teams.
• Augsburg has outscored its opponents by a 24-10 margin, standing third among MIAC teams in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
