LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The Augsburg University women's basketball team remained unbeaten with a 70-64 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Saturday evening at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Holiday Inn Express Thanksgiving Classic. The win marks the second time in the past three seasons that the Auggies have started the year 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Despite being outshot and outrebounded, the Auggies found a way to pull out another early-season victory. Augsburg was held to a season-low 32.8 percent (22-of-67) shooting from the field, while the Pioneers connected on 46.0 percent (23-of-50) of their shot attempts. The Pioneers claimed a 41-35 advantage on the boards, but the big difference in the game came down to turnovers and three-point shooting.
• The Augsburg defense continued its strong play, forcing 22 UW-Platteville turnovers, while claiming an 18-8 advantage in points off turnovers. The Auggies have forced 22 or more opponent turnovers in each of their four games this season.
• The Auggies were able to hit 9-of-25 from beyond the arc, while holding the Pioneers to just 2-of-10. Augsburg has connected on eight or more three pointers in each of its games this season and has held its opponents to a collective 11-of-53 from beyond the arc.
• Augsburg finished with three players in double figures, led by
Kaezha Wubben (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS), who posted a season-high 16 points, including a 7-for-8 performance from the free-throw line.

Jazmyn Solseth (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) had a strong performance for Augsburg, posting season-highs in both points and rebounds. Solseth finished with a career-high 14 points, shooting 5-of-7 from the field, while adding eight rebounds and tying a career-high with five steals.
• Also finishing with a season-high in points was
Arianna Jones (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS), who scored 13 points, while dishing out a team-best four assists. Jones added four rebounds and a pair of steals on the night.

Aiza Wilson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) added nine points for Augsburg. With her three 3-pointers, she now has 104 career three-pointers and passed Rachel Ekholm '02 for fourth all-time on the Augsburg career made three-pointer list.
FOR THE FOES
• UW-Platteville was led by Maiah Domask, who posted a game-high 22-point, 15-rebound double-double.
• Morgan Horstman added 17 points for the Pioneers on a 6-for-10 shooting performance.
