D3hoops.com All-West Region squad as a third-team honoree in 2016-17.
Olmscheid is the second Augsburg player to ever be selected to play in the
NABC/Reese's College All-Star Game;
Dan Kornbaum was selected in 2014. The game will be played this Saturday (3/17) at 2:30 p.m. (Central time) at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., prior to the NCAA Division III national championship game there. According to the NABC, the West and East regional teams are made up of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight Division III regions, two seniors selected in an online vote on D3hoops.com and two senior at-large selections.
The MIAC's scoring champion in 2017-18, Olmscheid finished his senior season scoring 613 points, averaging 21.1 points per-game -- the lone MIAC player to average 20.0 points or more in overall play. His 5.4 rebounds per-game average was 13th-best among MIAC players. Playing a league-high 33.3 minutes per-game this season, Olmscheid led the MIAC in field goals made (225), while standing seventh in field-goal percentage (56.4), 10th in three-pointers (48), sixth in three-point percentage (46.2), first in free throws (115) and first in free-throw percentage (88.5).

Playing in 106 career games (85 starts), he finished his career fourth in school history in career scoring (1,887 points), with his 17.8 ppg career average seventh-best. Brian Ammann (1981-85) holds the Augsburg career scoring record with 2,271 points, followed by Devean George (1995-99) with 2,258 and Dan Anderson (1961-65) with 2,052.
