MAUSTON, Wis. --
Jordan DeCroock (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) had five hits, scoring two runs and driving in another, to lead the Augsburg University baseball team in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader against Macalester College on Thursday.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg tied the game 2-2 in the third inning, but Macalester went ahead with a run in the fourth inning, and a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh secured the first-game win for the Scots.
• DeCroock singled to bring home
Walker Rogers (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) in the second inning, andÂ
Mike Brookshaw (JR, Prescott, Wis./Prescott HS) walked, stole a base and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by
Keane Turner (SR, Clinton, Minn./Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley HS).

Dayton Danielson (SO, St. Charles, Minn./St. Charles HS) pitched his third complete game of the season, striking out two while walking one and allowing eight hits in seven innings. Sixty-five of his 96 pitches in the game were strikes.
• DeCroock had two hits, with Brookshaw and
Zach Bakko (SR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) collecting the other Auggie hits.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg took a 2-1 lead after three innings, but Macalester scored twice in the fourth and four runs in the eighth. Augsburg trimmed the lead to 7-5 and had a pair of runners aboard with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but a pair of strikeouts ended the game.
• DeCroock led off the third inning with a single, moved to second on a stolen base, and scored on an RBI single by Brookshaw. Brookshaw stole second and came home on an RBI double by Turner.
• A bases-loaded walk and a two-run single by
Cam Erikson (SR, Albuquerque, N.M./La Cuerva HS) accounted for Augsburg's three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Jamie Kaye (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) struck out five while walking no one in 7.2 innings of work.Â
Ryan Kain (SR, Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township HS) had two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of relief.
FOR THE FOES
• Ben Castagnetti had four hits in the doubleheader, scoring two runs.
• Collin Brantner hit a grand slam home run for Macalester in the first game.
• Thomas Shogren pitched in relief in both games, striking out two in the seventh inning of the first game and striking out both batters he faced to earn the save in the second game.
