Tuccitto has 6-point day in Augsburg victory

MONMOUTH, Ill. -- Allie Tuccitto (FY, Rosemount, Minn./Eastview HS) scored a career-best four goals as part of a career-best six-point afternoon, leading the Augsburg University's women's lacrosse team in a 17-5 victory over Benedictine University in Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg scored the first 10 goals of the game, building an 11-2 halftime advantage and cruising from there. Augsburg outshot Benedictine by a 23-5 margin in the first half, en route to a 31-18 advantage in the game.
• Tuccitto scored four goals with two assists to lead the Auggies. Over her last four games, Tuccitto has scored 11 goals with five assists for 16 points.
McKenna Ellena (FY, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) scored three goals with an assist, adding three ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover.
Izzy Snow (JR, Golden Valley, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) scored three goals with an assist, adding three draw controls and a ground ball. Snow now has 58 points (39 goals, 19 assists), standing third among MWLC players in overall statistics in points, second in assists and sixth in goals. Her 59 points are a single-season school record. She has scored a goal in 13 of Augsburg's 14 games so far this season.
Helena Nguyen (SR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored three goals with two ground balls and a caused turnover. Nguyen stands third among MWLC players in overall goals with a single-season school-record 47, and her 52 points are sixth-most among MWLC players.
Megan Furlong (FY, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) scored her first two collegiate goals on Saturday, with Demey Everett (SO, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scoring a goal with two assists and a ground ball. Teyha Reinbold (FY, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) scored a goal, and Mikayla Jones (SO, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) had an assist.
Christina Nelson (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) recorded nine draw controls with three ground balls and three caused turnovers. Nelson now leads the MWLC with 86 draw controls, while she is sixth with 37 caused turnovers.
• Goalies Marissa Guillou (SR, Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley HS) and Maddie Seykora (FY, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) each played a half for the Auggies, with Guillou not having to make a save and Seykora collecting two saves.
• Augsburg had 16 draw controls to Benedictine's six, and had 20 ground balls to Benedictine's 12.

FOR THE FOES
• Jasmine Moreno scored two goals to lead Benedictine, while Lexie Orr had a goal and an assist. Madison Horan and Victoria House also scored goals.
• Emma Redfern had seven goals in 50 minutes of work in goal, with Sam Tikalsky recording a save in the final 10 minutes.
