WINONA, Minn. -- The Augsburg University baseball team scored a doubleheader split in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Saint Mary's University on Wednesday, taking advantage of another pair of complete-game pitching efforts.

Jamie Kaye (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) threw his fifth complete-game of the season, improving to 4-3 on the season with a five-strikeout, one-walk effort, allowing just six hits and an unearned run. Of his 102 pitches in the game, 75 were strikes.

• Brookshaw had three of Augsburg's eight hits in the game, driving home two runs and scoring two more. Bodine had two hits in the game.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg surrendered three runs in the first inning and could not catch the Cardinals after that, despite scoring a run in the third inning and two more in the fifth.

Jacob Kari (SR, North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) threw Augsburg's fourth straight complete game, and his second of the season, claiming two strikeouts against a walk and seven hits. Two of the runs charged to him were unearned.

Donovan Tomony (SO, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS) on a sacrifice fly in the third inning.Â

Walker Rogers (SO. Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) led off the fifth inning with a double, moved to third on a groundout, and scored on an RBI double by Bodine. A passed ball moved Bodine to third, and Turner hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Bodine.
• Augsburg managed just four hits in the second game -- Rogers' and Bodine's doubles, and singles by DeCroock and Bakko.

• Justin Weinberg drove home Andy Tepp on an RBI single in the first inning for the lone run of the first game for Saint Mary's.
• Matthew Piechowski hit two doubles in the second game, driving in a run. Dixon Irwin also had two hits in the game for the Cardinals.
