MINNEAPOLIS --
Jordan DeCroock (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) had four hits in seven at-bats, leading the Augsburg University baseball team in its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader against Gustavus Adolphus College on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties swept the doubleheader with 4-1 and 5-2 victories.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Gustavus scored twice in the third inning and twice in the fifth inning to clinch the first-game victory over the Auggies.
• Augsburg's lone run came in the fourth inning.
Clayton Bodine (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) led off the inning with a single, moved to third on a single by
Mike Brookshaw (JR, Prescott, Wis./Prescott HS) and a sacrifice bunt by
Keane Turner (SR, Clinton, Minn./Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley HS), then scored on an RBI single by
Zach Bakko (SR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS).

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Gustavus sent 10 batters to the plate and scored all five of its runs in the fourth inning, claiming four hits and taking advantage of an error to score three unearned runs.
• Augsburg responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. An RBi single by
Ryan Masui (JR, Excelsior, Minn./Minnetonka HS) plated Brookshaw, and Turner scored after
Joe Rydel (JR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) reached base on a fielding error.
• DeCroock and Turner had two hits each for the Auggies in the second game, with DeCroock contributing a double.
• Three pitchers --
Mathew Nicklay (FY, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS),
Cody Pirkl (JR, Hampton, Minn./Randolph HS) and
Jamie Kaye (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) -- saw action in the game for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Carter Clemensen and Matt Berkner had four hits each for Gustavus in the doubleheader. Berkner went 3-for-3 in the first game, and Clemensen drove in two runs in the doubleheader.
• Nolan Lepel and Ryan Moriarty had three hits and two RBI each in the doubleheader, with both collecting a double in the first game.
• Adam Stockwell pitched a complete-game victory for the Gusties in the opener, striking out six while not walking a batter.
UP NEXT
• Augsburg finishes its season facing Wisconsin-Superior in nonconference action on Monday (5/7) at 10 a.m. at Parade Stadium. The day will begin with the completion of two games that were halted due to time constraints at U.S. Bank Stadium in March, followed by a nine-inning single game.
