WINONA, Minn. -- The Augsburg University volleyball team picked up its first victory in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, defeating Saint Mary's University 3-0 on Wednesday night at Saint Mary's Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg continued to play well, posting its third consecutive sweep. As a team, Augsburg hit .213, while holding the Cardinals to just a .071 hitting percentage. 
• Offensively, the Auggies were led by Corrina Evans (SO, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) who posted 10 kills, hitting .389, while adding two blocks (one solo), a dig and an ace. 
• Setter Morgan Malley (SR, Harmony, Minn./Fillmore Central HS) claimed her seventh assist-dig double-double of the season and 34th of her career, with 23 assists and 11 digs. Malley also chipped in six kills, hitting at an impressive .667 clip.
• Picking up eight and seven kills respectively were Sydnie Zachary (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson HS) and Kayla Gjerde (FY, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS). Zachary also picked up seven digs and a block, while Gjerde added five blocks, a block and an ace. Jade Boysen (FY, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) claimed four blocks (one solo), to go along with five kills.
• Macey Terhell (SR, Osceola, Wis./Osceola HS) led all players with 21 digs, while contributing five assists and an ace. 

FOR THE FOES
• Saint Mary's was led by Brandi Blattner, who posted 12 kills, while adding eight digs. 
• Lillian Braun had 23 assists and 12 digs for the Cardinals.
