QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "It's obviously frustrating to lose, especially when you out-shoot your opponent. However, we were not sharp in the critical moments tonight. St. Benedict got two goals from distance and defended well. They deserved it. We will have to regroup and return to some core principles in order to progress and ultimately maximize our potential as a team."
FOR THE FOES
• Midfielder Mara Flaherty scored both goals for Saint Benedict, scoring on a rising shot from 35 yards out in the 17th minute, and adding her second goal on a rebound and assist by Abby Welsch following a blocked shot in the 49th minute.
• Kendall Koenen had eight saves in goal for the Bennies.
