ST. PETER, Minn. -- A goal with 8:36 left in regulation time lifted host Gustavus Adolphus College to a 1-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over Augsburg University on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The game was a close one between two of the MIAC's leading teams. Gustavus got the go-ahead goal in the 82nd minute, and its defense limited Augsburg to just two shots in the game, both in the second half, with only one on-goal. Gustavus had 10 shots in the game.
• Auggie goalkeeper Garrett Kaelin (JR, Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) recorded three saves in a complete-game effort in goal.
• Lionel Vang (JR, Little Canada, Minn./Roseville HS) and Johnny Vu (SO, Maplewood, Minn./Roseville HS) had Augsburg's shots in the game.
