MENOMONIE, Wis. --
Tommy Carey (SO, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) scored the game-winning goal 1:47 into overtime, lifting No. 4-ranked Augsburg University to a 3-2 victory over the host University of Wisconsin-Stout in a nonconference men's hockey game on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Carey scored his second game-winning goal of the season and first overtime winner, scoring his sixth goal of the season on assists fromÂ
Chandler Madry (SR, Bakersfield, Calif./Faribanks (Alaska) BEST HS) and
John O'Connor (JR, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS).
• Making his first start in goal since Nov 10, Augsburg's
Daniil Gerasimov (SO, Moscow, Russia/State School 1944) improved to 5-1-0 on the season with a 25-save effort, as UW-Stout outshot Augsburg by a 27-25 margin in the game.

Ben Henderson (FY, North Branch, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) scored his first collegiate goal at the 17:54 mark of the second period, assisted by
Gavin Holland (FY, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) and
Matt Nehls (SO, Boulder, Colo./D.C. West HS). The Blue Devils, however, tied the game at 1-1 just 30 seconds later.
• The Auggies took the lead back at the 9:55 mark of the third period, as Madry scored his eighth goal of the season, an unassisted, power-play marker. Madry now has 21 points on the season, putting him in a tie for fourth in pointsÂ
among all Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players.
FOR THE FOES
• Raphael Gosselin scored from Joe Kleven and Hunter Anderson at the 18:24 mark of the second period for UW-Stout, and Dmytro Kobylyanskyi tied the game at 2-2 with a goal from Conner Valesano and Arturas Laukaitis at the 16:45 mark of the third period.
• Tommi Ahlgren had 22 saves in goal for UW-Stout.
