MINNEAPOLIS --
Henry Mulligan (JR, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Augsburg University men's basketball team to a 91-68 victory over Hamline University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Hutton Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg started the game with a Mulligan three pointer on the Auggies opening possession and would never surrender the lead. Augsburg led 44-34 at the intermission, but Hamline was able to chip the lead down to six early in the second half. After a pair of Hamline free throws cut the Augsburg lead to 54-48 with 13:09 remaining, the Auggies went on a 19-4 run that put the game out of reach.
• For the sixth time this season, Augsburg shot better than 50 percent from the field. As a team Augsburg connected on 31-of-61 (50.8 percent) from the field and 40.0 percent (14-of-35) from three point range. Hamline shot 45.0 percent (27-of-70) from the field and just 33.3 percent (7-of-21) from beyond the arc. Augsburg, who currently leads the MIAC in made three point field goals (173), has connected on 10-plus three pointers in all but three games this season.
• Mulligans career night included an 8-of-13 effort from the field, while connecting on 5-of-9 from three point range, in just 25 minutes of action.

Booker Coplin (JR, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) added 18 points, a team-best eight rebounds and six assists.
• Also scoring in double figures for the Auggies was
Kevin McKiernan (SR, Savage, Minn./Prior Lake HS) and
Martin Mitchell (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS), who added 13 and 11 points respectively.

Carter Duncan (JR, Chisago City, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) continued his strong play of late, adding nine points and five rebounds, while shooting 4-for-4 from the field.
• The teams posted 33 rebounds apiece, but Augsburg was able to claim a 12-6 advantage in the turnover battle, which the Auggies converted into a 23-7 advantage in points off turnovers.
FOR THE FOES
• Hamline was led by Isaac Brooks, who finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
• Ethan Scheuring added 15 points and four rebounds for the Pipers.
