MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University men's basketball team was held to a season-low 35.5 percent shooting from the floor in a 78-58 loss to No. 19-ranked Saint John's University on Wednesday evening in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The teams traded baskets for the first six minutes of action, before the Johnnies went on an 18-0 run. The Auggies struggled to find their offensive rhythm and were held to just 27.6 percent shooting in the first half. • Kevin McKiernan (SR, Savage, Minn./Prior Lake HS) added 12 points and three steals.
• Henry Mulligan (JR, Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City HS) and Martin Mitchell (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) added eight points apiece.
• Augsburg won the turnover battle, forcing 15, while only committing nine and posting a 14-11 advantage in points off-turnovers.
• The Johnnies posted a 37-26 advantage on the boards and shot 61.2 percent (30-of-49) from the field.

FOR THE FOES
• The Johnnies finished with three players in double figures, led by a 17-point, nine-rebound effort from Lucas Walford, who was 8-for-9 from the floor.
• David Stokman added 16 points and five assists, while Zach Hanson added 14 points and eight rebounds.
