ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's basketball team posted an important Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory with a 66-60 win over the College of Saint Benedict on Wednesday night at Claire Lynch Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies put together their second-best shooting performance of the season, connecting on 48.1 percent (25-of-52) from the floor, while tying a season-best from beyond the arc, connecting on 41.2 percent (7-of-17) of their shot attempts.
• After a deadlocked first quarter, Augsburg outscored the Bennies 20-9 in the second quarter and was able to extend its lead to as many as 16 with 4:02 to play in the third quarter. Saint Benedict put together a strong fourth quarter rally and cut the Augsburg lead to just four with 1:39 to play. The Auggies were able make enough free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
• Individually, Augsburg was led by a game-high 15 points from
Tamira McLemore (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS), who finished 5-of-9 from the field, while adding five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
Aiza Wilson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) also finished in double figures for Augsburg, finishing with 10 points, shooting 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Arianna Jones (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) led all players in minutes played (34), and finished with eight points, four rebounds and four assists.
• Leading the Auggies on the boards wasÂ
Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) and
Jazmyn Solseth (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS), who finished with six and five rebounds respectively. Speese added eight points, shooting 4-of-5 from the floor, while Solseth chipped in four points and a steal.

Kaezha Wubben (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) added eight points, while
Camille McCoy (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) scored six points and added three rebounds.
• Augsburg posted a 37-26 advantage on the boards and a 17-6 advantage in second-chance points.

Augsburg currently leads the MIAC in made three-point field goals (96), with 11 more than second-ranked St. Thomas (85), and as of
the latest NCAA Division III national rankings (Jan. 1), is ranked 34th nationally in the category.
• Individually, the Auggies boast two of the top-five three-point shooters in the league. Wilson leads the MIAC with 33 made three-point field goals, while McLemore is ranked fifth with 27 made threes. Wilson also leads the league in three-point field goal percentage (42.9 percent), while McLemore is ranked seventh in the league in scoring, averaging 14.8 points per-game.
• Jones currently leads the MIAC in both assists (54) and assist-to-turnover ratio (4.5). As of Jan. 1, she ranks second nationally among NCAA Division III players in assist-to-turnover ratio.

• Saint Benedict finished with three players in double figures, led by Maddie Schmitz and McKenzie Holgate, who finished with 14 points apiece.
• Alex Johnson added a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Bennies.
