NORTHFIELD, Minn. --Â Augsburg University held a 13-12 lead early in the second quarter, but Carleton College ran off a stretch of 30 unanswered points to claim a 42-19 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football victory at Laird Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A pair of touchdowns by
Quran Al-Hameed (JR, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) -- a two-yarder in the first quarter to cap a 13-play, 76-yard drive and an 18-yarder after he placed the ball on the Carleton 46 on a 42-yard kickoff return -- gave the Auggies a 13-12 advantage with 13:49 left in the first half. But Carleton scored on four straight drives, with three touchdowns and a field goal, to close the first half with a 36-13 advantage. The teams traded touchdowns in the fourth quarter for the final margin.
• Augsburg's final touchdown came on a 43-yard pass from
Chad Costello (JR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) to
Josiah Ferguson (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) with 42 seconds left in the game.
• Returning to the Augsburg lineup after an injury sent him to the sidelines for the second time this season, quarterback
Quinn Frisell (Sr, Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) completed 25-of-38 passes for 217 yards. Three Auggies caught six passes for 70-plus yards each for the Auggies -- Ferguson with six receptions for 82 yards,
Mike Rodriguez (JR, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) with six receptions for 78 yards and
Le'Andre Benion (SR, Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) with six catches for 74 yards.
• Al-Hameed rushed 15 times for 67 yards, while also returning five kickoffs for 105 yards.Â
Mark Munoa (JR, Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) had seven rushes for 40 yards.

Derek Glynn (SR, Lonsdale, Minn./Faribault HS) had 12 tackles (six solo) and a sack to lead the Auggie defense, whileÂ
Collin Feld (SR, Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo HS), had seven tackles (four solo) and an interception.
Camdin Carlson-Mathies (SO, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had six tackles (four solo) and an interception, and Christopher Oliva (SR, Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS) and
Jared Pope (JR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Lewis-Palmer HS) had quarterback sacks.
• Carleton outgained Augsburg by a 466-384 margin in the game, including a 417-260 advantage in passing yardage.
FOR THE FOES
• Emanual Williams caught 14 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns, including a 70-yarder on the first play from scrimmage in the game. Mack Journell caught 10 passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns. All the throws came from Jonathan Singleton, who completed 38-of-52 passes for 417 yards and six touchdowns.
• Sean Goodman Jr. rushed 11 times for 61 yards.
• Carlos Lua Pineda and Travis Brown had 11 tackles each to lead the Carleton defense.
