NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The No. 11-ranked Augsburg University volleyball team dropped a hard-fought five-set match at St. Olaf College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night.
Kayla Gjerde (SO, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) and
Corrina Evans (JR, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) paced the Auggie offense, each collecting 15 kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Play was back-and-forth throughout the entire match, with 25 ties and nine lead changes -- 10 ties and five lead changes in the fifth set alone. The Augsburg offense was held to a .130 attack percentage, while the Auggies held St. Olaf to a .154 clip.
• Gjerde earned another kill-dig double-double, adding 19 digs. Evans had three blocks (one solo).

Megan Quam (SR, Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo HS) hit at a .333 clip, posting eight kills and no errors on 24 swings. Quam added two block assists.
• Earning her sixth assist-dig double-double of the year,
Izzy Barr (SO, River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS) had 10 assists and 16 digs -- her career-high dig effort.
• Also earning her career-high dig effort was
Maddie Nierengarten (JR, Foley, Minn./Princeton HS), with a team-best 18 digs in the match. Nierengarten also had five kills, three service aces, two assists and two block assists.
• Setter
Lexie Lang (SO, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) tallied a career-high 35 assists, to go along with 13 digs, 4 kills, a block assist and an ace.
FOR THE FOES
• Lexi Wall earned 51 assists, Lauren Rewers had 18 kills and Emily Jarnigan collected 30 digs -- which were all match-best.
• Katelyn Lannom had four block assists, adding 16 kills.
