MINNEAPOLIS -- The No. 23-ranked Augsburg University women's basketball team connected on a program-best 20 three-pointers in an 86-63 nonconference victory over the University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Thursday night at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After trailing 17-15 at the conclusion of the first quarter, Augsburg outscored Northwestern 26-11 in the second quarter on a 9-of-18 shooting performance, which included a 7-of-13 effort from beyond the arc. The Auggies continued their hot shooting in the third quarter and cruised on to the nonconference victory.
• As a team, Augsburg connected on a school-record 20 three-pointers in the game, finishing 20-of-48 from beyond the arc. The previous school record was 15, set on November 26, 2016 also against Northwestern. The Auggies have posted double-digit three pointers in both of their games this season.
• Four Auggies finished in double figures on the night, led by 18-point performances fromÂ
Tamira McLemore (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) and
Aiza Wilson (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS). McLemore was 5-of-11 from three-point range and added five rebounds. Wilson scored all of her points from beyond the arc, going 6-for-13 from distance, while adding five assists.
• Leading Augsburg on the boards was
Jazmyn Solseth (JR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) who pulled down eight rebounds while adding 10 points and a pair of assists.

Camryn Speese (SR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) was 6-of-8 from the field, finishing with 13 points, six rebounds and three steals.
• Continuing to captain the Augsburg offense was Arianaa Jones, who dished out five assists, to go along with six points and a pair of steals.
• For the game, Augsburg hit 30-of-70 (42.9 percent) from the field and 20-of-48 (41.7 percent) from three-point range. The Eagles converted 22-of-48 (45.8 percent) shooting and 6-of-14 from three-point range. Augsburg posted a 26-6 advantage in points off turnovers and a 14-4 advantage in fast-break points, while Northwestern claimed a 40-33 advantage on the boards.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The win marks the 10th consecutive victory for the Auggies over Northwestern.
 FOR THE FOES
• Northwestern was led by Miranda Crenshaw, who finished with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
• Rio Landers pulled down a game-high nine rebounds to go along with nine points.
